Born and raised in Waterloo ON, Canada, Shane Guse has made a career out of doing what he loves to do. A multi-instrumentalist, step dancer and singer, Shane is most at home with a fiddle in his hand.
Chances are you've seen him on television while watching CMT , Breakfast Television, AChannel, CTV, CBC or the Canadian Country Music Awards. It's very likely you've heard him on the radio playing on a number of chart topping singles, or playing on the soundtracks to award winning independent Canadian films. You may have seen Shane backing two time Juno award winner and Canadian country star George Canyon, or with many other Canadian recording artists such as Jason Blaine, Jason McCoy, Deric Ruttan, Colin James, The Wilkinsons, Lisa Brokop, John Landry, LACE and countless others. Perhaps it was with The Guse's at one of their many shows across North America. You may have even seen Shane doing clinics and demonstrations for Wood Violins of NYC.
If you haven't seen him yet, you will. From the bars to the stars, Shane gives his all with every performance and has covered every genre, from old time fiddle, bluegrass and country, to jazz, blues and even rock! Shane is also a gifted teacher and enjoys sharing his love and knowledge of music with others through either private lessons, or a college course he designed himself! If you're looking for a musician with a wealth of experience and variety of skills then welcome, to myspace/shaneguse!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting my page. It's great to have friends like you. Please tell your friends to check out my music and stop by anytime to listen. Keep in touch.
Hey Shane! Thanks for the add - looks like you are livin' the dream! I'm on the hunt for a great alt country producer right now. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll have you on my upcoming album! Hope to meet you at the next CCMAs - Kirsten
